Real Stories: Personal Accounts Told Without Filters

Real stories told in the first person

Real life story

COVID already feels less present in the headlines, but it still lingers in daily life. Conversations with people who went through it reveal a pattern: lingering fatigue, memory lapses, a sense of not fully returning to the same place. I speak not as a medical expert, but from listening and observing.

My experience was different, in part because my lifestyle had already been shaped by certain habits. I’ve been vegan since before the pandemic, and that influenced how I experienced that time. This isn’t a scientific claim or a universal recipe, just a personal account of what I noticed in my body and life.

Over time, I added simple routines: an hour of exercise every other day, enough rest, and a plant-based diet. It wasn’t radical or immediate, but consistent. For me, it brought more balance, energy, and overall wellbeing. Even minor colds now pass more smoothly thanks to these habits.

I also take plant-based vitamin B12. I mention this not as medical advice, but as part of my personal care and how I feel today. Small habits can make a real difference in daily life.

I don’t write this to judge or convince anyone. Everyone lives, eats, and takes care of themselves as they can and want. If someone reading this adds even a little more vegetables to their plate, it’s already a meaningful step.

You don’t have to change everything at once. Sometimes a small gesture — one more vegetable on your plate — is a way to start taking care of yourself.
